PicLite is a modern image optimization platform for the web — private browser resize when you need it, and cloud compression when your team needs scale.

What we build

We help marketers, developers, agencies, and site owners ship lighter images without fighting desktop editors or guessing export settings. Smaller files load faster, save bandwidth, and improve Core Web Vitals — without looking soft or muddy.

PicLite started from a simple idea: resizing and compressing images should feel as easy as uploading them. Today that idea spans a free on-device tool, a signed-in optimizer with history and quotas, an HTTP API, and an official WordPress plugin.

Three ways to use PicLite

  • Free browser tool — Resize and compress JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP on the homepage. Processing stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded for that guest flow.
  • Cloud optimizer — Sign in for batch workflows, compression history, plan quotas, and repeatable quality settings across your library.
  • WordPress & API — Connect an API key to compress Media Library uploads, run bulk jobs, or integrate PicLite into your own apps and pipelines.

Who it is for

If you publish landing pages, product catalogs, blog posts, or email campaigns, image weight is part of the product. PicLite is built for people who care about both brand quality and page speed — freelancers shipping client sites, in-house marketing teams, and developers who want a clean API instead of a pile of one-off scripts.

Privacy & trust

The guest tool on our homepage runs locally with Canvas. Files never leave your device unless you choose an account feature that explicitly uploads for cloud processing. When you use the dashboard optimizer, API, or WordPress plugin, images are transmitted under your authenticated quota so usage stays attributable and limits stay fair.

Our approach

We prefer practical defaults over jargon. Resize dimensions first, choose a sensible format, then compress to the quality plateau where extra bits stop helping the eye. Browser mode is the workshop bench; cloud mode is the factory line. You can graduate from one to the other without switching products.
